Greensboro's art and music communities are coming together for a good cause on Saturday, August 1st, 2026. Art Loves Sound (ALS) is a benefit event running from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Grapes and Grain Tavern (2001 Yanceyville St.), with all proceeds supporting the ALS foundation chapter behind Hands On, in partnership with Joan Dancy & PALS (People with ALS).
The evening features a full lineup of live music: The Walnut Circle Band opens things up from 4:00-6:00, The Alchemists take over from 6:30-8:30, and the night closes out with a disco set from 9-11 courtesy of Superstar DJ K. Ward. Robbie Phillips hosts.
The event also showcases the work of local artists, including Billy Cone, Gina Franco, Hollis Gabriel, Amy Gordon, Patrick Griggs, Christina Hill, Frank Holder, Chip Holton, Denise Landi, Connie Logan, Blake Lee, Phillip Marsh, Sharon Nussbaum, Kelly Rightsell, Meredith Scott, and Rukiya Shanteel.
Donation is $20 at the door. Until a cure is found, the art of awareness only gets louder.
